Full Review: Noot Self Portrait Battery Free Selfie Stick
The Noot Self Portrait [battery free] selfie stick is a monopod with a shutter-button built into the handle. Instead of connecting by bluetooth, like many other models, this selfie stick comes with a cable that plugs into a phone’s headphone jack. It is a secure holder that surrounds your phone on three sides, and adjusts so you can take shots from different angles.
This monopod can be extended to 90cm. The angle on the head can be adjusted up to 180 degrees and locks into place with a scores on the side of the cradle. The adjustable phone holder fits all phones width between 5.6-8.5 cm.
Even though bluetooth is very popular right now, there are advantages to a non-bluetooth model. It does not need a battery, no charging is necessary, and it is truly plug and play. All you have to do is plug it in, open your camera app on your phone, and press the shutter button on the handle to take pictures. No syncing required. A non-bluetooth model can be more convenient. One downside, however, is that since you plug the cable into your headphone port you will not be able to record sound with video because the headphone port also serves as the microphone. Finally, it does not come with a mirror so you are limited to using the front camera.
